Under an hour (2004) < > Inspired by a letter to Congress from the U.S. Defense Secretary in which he describes the administration’s goal capability of waging a full scale missile attack anywhere on the globe in “under an hour” this work follows the declining relationships of the dancers as they are carried forward by an external momentum. One by one they fall away as a digital timer clicks down to the final moment. The three parts of this contemporary dance performance occur in three distinct environments: water- what wars will be waged over, flour = food- what wars were once waged over and light=electricity=oil what wars are now waged over.
