The Events Preceding (2004) < > Three performance-based installations are placed throughout a city. Each installation incorporates a digital timer and a device with which a performer can break a panel of glass. The timers are synchronized and the panels shatter simultaneously. The performances, like the installations are each site specific. The movement reflects not only the utilitarian action of simple triggering but the conspired precision of carrying out a synchronized act.
