Dancepod (2006) < > A sculpture composed of simultaneous, web-connected dance parties, this work fused visceral with virtual and performance with event. Four identical installations were set up in Portland, New York, Mexico City and Berlin. These installations, composed of five arching screens formed an architectural core of shared physical and virtual experience. Live-streamed video from each location was sent to the other. The fifth screen represented the virtual city and could be interacted with on site or through the web.
